No Luck

Ok…back to the drawing board…..unfortunately did not get the job I was hoping for, so now back to the job hunting..eish. I will not let this get me down. No I won’t. Well, at least I have 3 day a week contract from curren employer so that leaves me with income at the end of this month and time to look for another job! Tick Tock Tick Tock & Planning

Still waiting for this damn phone to ring!!! At least I had 2 phone calls from agencies. Both awesome women that have jobs suitable for me…so here’s holding thumbs.

O yes…and STILL WAITING for my ring to get fixed. Spoke to Mr. Jeweler this morning…apparently I broke the ring in the approximately 3 days I was wearing it and it’s my fault it’s broken. He will call me in a couple of days to tell me what’s happening.

Very “friendly” I told him that I will NOT WAIT ”a couple of days” for feedback. I expect feedback this afternoon…pffttt…. Do not piss of a Bride-to-Be that is basically jobless and stressing…..grrrr

Going for pamper session this afternoon for hair and nails…highlight of my day thus far…..

I also think this miserable weather is NOT working for my mood….

FOCUS NOW ELIZCA

My heart is pounding, I can’t think straight…………I have my dream job interview this afternoon and can’t seem to get rid of these butterflies in my stomach!!!!!!!!! I just want it over and done with ASAP so I can start functioning like a normal person again.

So the position is for Portal Editor at a well known ISP company in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. SO not alone is it my DREAM JOB, it’s also closer to home! O yeah!!!!! So just have to try not to screw this interview up, as I always seem to start babbling when I get nervous! Please please please keep your fingers crossed for me!!!!!

Still searching

Between getting engaged, entertaining the family tonight and dogs escaping last night while we were out, I’m also STILL on my job-hunting quest. And I am happy to report, all is going well (or so I hope).

Last night we went to some friends for red wine and while there I get the email I was waiting for,  (luckily for me, I can’t go anywhere without my BlackBerry) and are super excited and also a bit nervous.  On Friday (25 June) I will be going for an interview at a well-known internet service provider for a job that I REALLY REALLY want and know I can do. In fact it’s my dream job…SO KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED (and your toes too f possible!)

Feel it, it is HERE (Weekend)

So in 30 minutes I will be saying farewell to the office (only for the weekend) and I will be of to Porterville with my Boyfriend aka best friend aka my everything and the 2 doggie kids! We’re going to stay in the mountain for the week at Berghoff Challets!

I am SO excited! I’m like a small child before Christmas. All the bags are packed, picnic basket ready for tomorrow..NOW JUST TO GET THERE!

On Monday it will be back to the drawing board to continue my quest to finding a new job, but this weekend there will be no cellphones…NOTHING…not by choice..just no reception!

Anyway guys and girls..enjoy your weekend and fingers crossed that a new job will find me (or I find a new job) soon!

2nd Interview – DONE

Had a 2nd interview today, at a different personnel agency…and all I can say is WOW. Agency and consultant impressed me very much, now just hoping for that position! Also had a meeting today with someone I have worked with previously and it looks like I also may be doing some freelancing for a certain newspaper!

Lots of prospects and I am really getting excited about the new adventures that awaits me!

Now I am finished with interviews for this week and looking forward to a weekend away with my “liefie” in Porterville on the mountain! (Doggie kids are of course going with!)

Next interview is Monday, for a NGO…..

1st and 2nd Interview

Just received confirmation that I have another interview lined up for Thursday!

Interview 1

On Monday 7 June I got my cv in order and started to circulate it (once again) and had my first interview on Friday 11 June at a personnel agency at Table View. It was for a position as Brand Communications Manager for a Hotel Group – still have not received any feedback. Should I be worried?

Interview 2

Just received confirmation that I have a interview for Thursday 17 June, at another personnel agency in the City for the position of Multi Media Content Manager…the job sounds very tempting..PLUS it’s on the Northern Suburbs, which will be PERFECT, as I am NOT a big fan of commuting to the city everyday……

Personnel Agencies

Sometimes I feel like a high class “call girl” when dealing with personnel agencies. Pimping myself to them and making myself look good…and ALL THE FORMS AND QUESTIONS..well I guess they’re just doing their job… I have to admit, I have been to so many personnel agencies, but every time I get a job I was working directly with the company. …but maybe, just maybe it will be different this time around.

Wow, how time has past!!!

Wow wow wow, how quickly time has gone by since last year November and so many developments!!

Unfortunately my time at Naspers has come to an end and end June I will be leaving their employment. A bit sad about it, but are also looking forward to what the future may hold. Currently looking for freelancing work or even something permanent
